Reporting Bugs & Features¶
Found a bug, or have an idea? You don't need a GitHub account — just post in our Discord, and your message is turned into a tracked issue automatically (and you get credited!).
Where to post¶
| Channel | For |
|---|---|
| #bugs | something broken or behaving wrong |
| #features | an idea, request, or improvement |
Within a few minutes, a bot reads your message, opens an issue on the project's tracker, and adds a ✅ reaction to your message so you know it was logged.
Writing a good bug report¶
A little detail goes a long way. Try to include:
- What happened vs. what you expected.
- Steps to reproduce it (what were you doing?).
- Your versions — Minecraft, Cobblemon, and Cobblemon Picnic.
- Other mods that might be involved, and a screenshot or log if you have one.
Example
Placing a Diving table underwater near coral crashes the client. MC 1.21.1, Cobblemon 1.7.3, Picnic 1.24.0. Happens every time; log attached. Only other furniture mod is Handcrafted.
Writing a good feature request¶
- What you'd like and why it would help your playstyle.
- If it's a tweak to something that exists, say what's missing today.
What happens next¶
- Your post becomes an issue labelled
bugorenhancement(plusdiscord). - You're added to the Community Credits page.
- Progress happens on the tracker and ships in a future release — watch the changelog.
Thank you for helping make the mod better! 💚
